THE FEE INCREASE CHARGED FOR NEW RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTI-FAMILY BUILDING PERMITS:
$9,362.00 PER LOT/UNIT
Please note: The City of Laurel is required to collect these fees and forward the funds to Prince George’s County for each new residential and/or multi-family dwelling unit constructed within the incorporated City limits. All checks for payment of the fees should be made payable to the City of Laurel.
New Residential Single & Multi-Family Homes
- Please contact the Department of Economic and Community Development at 301-725-5300 for information regarding the requirements for new residential single and multi-family homes.
- Please contact the Department of the Fire Marshal & Permit Services' Chief Building Official for information on required permits for new residential single and multi-family homes
All required permits for new residential construction must be paid for at the time of application. City of Laurel Impact Fees and Home Builder Guaranty Fund Fee must be paid at the time of the building permit application. The School Facilities Surcharge must be paid separately. Additionally, the Prince George’s County Public Safety Surcharge must be paid separately and at the time of the building permit application.
